As a black, queer woman in a white, hetero-dominated industry, my mission is to foster inclusivity, diversity, and acceptance across every aspect of my business. I truly believe addressing the lack of diverse narratives in the wedding industry allows ALL love stories to be honored, and makes weddings about authentic connections where couples feel seen and understood!
As a Maryland wedding photographer who travels up and down the East Coast for my couples big days… I love when I stumble across a venue that feels so special and intimate that I immediately want to go back. That was definitely the case with this NOVA venue: The Barn at Brambleton.
It was set in the rolling hills of Virginia, with both indoor & outdoor space for weddings. For this beautiful couple, they chose to use the outdoor patio for their ceremony. The view behind them was SO pretty. And for the reception they transformed the indoor hall into a romantic, dreamy reception space for their evening celebration. I had so much fun photographing here!!
They got ready with their respective wedding parties, before meeting together with their guests for their ceremony on the lawn. Everyone was so excited for the couple. And these two thought through every detail, from flowers to custom reception keepsakes.
Their day-of coordinator, Holly Johnson, kept everything running smoothly all day long so the bride and groom could just relax and enjoy the moment as they unfolded.

If you’re getting married on the East Coast and looking for a venue, I highly recommend this one! Located in Ashburn, Virginia, The Barn at Brambleton is full of rustic charm while keeping elegant, modern details at the forefront.

The guests enjoyed a cocktail hour after the ceremony while we took wedding party photos around the venue. Then the newlyweds joined their friends, and the fun began!
They had dinner and toasts in the grand hall under dim, romantic lighting. Their dinner was catered by Matchbox Catering, and wow it was delicious!! Highly recommend to all of my Virginia and East Coast wedding couples!
After dinner, the dance floor opened! And DJ Abby kept the party going all night long. Everyone had such a blast celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs!
