My journey into photography began with a simple desire: to capture some of the greatest moments in people's lives. Over the years, this passion has only grown stronger, with having my own family and realizing the moments pass by so quickly and having a professional document parts of your journey is so beautiful to be able to look back on. There's something magical about freezing a moment in time, allowing it to be cherished forever. Now, if you’re anything like me, and like to be nosy, let’s get into some more personal things: I'm a reality TV enthusiast, an avid online shopper, because I absolutely hate going into stores in person. I’m very easygoing and laid back, I love to laugh and make others laugh. Sparkling waters and probiotic waters are my drink of choice, after coffee, of course – because who doesn’t love a little fizz in their life? But most importantly, I'm a mama! ! I have two babies, and my family is my world. Cameron and I have been married for five years, and together for ten. Being a young mother has given me a profound understanding of how fleeting and precious these moments are. I know firsthand the importance of capturing them beautifully and authentically, the moments pass by so unbelievably fast. This personal experience drives my commitment to providing you with photographs that you'll treasure for a lifetime. I remember growing up and even now, feeling like there was no one that looked like me, there is a HUGE lack of diverse narratives in mainstream media, including and especially, within the wedding industry. This fueled my determination to challenge norms and create a space where all love stories are honored and valued.
Through my work, I strive to go beyond mere documentation, seeking to capture the essence and uniqueness of each couple's relationship. I approach every shoot with an open heart and mind, taking the time to understand each couple's journey, values, and vision for their special day. By building genuine connections and fostering a supportive environment, I aim to create images that not only reflect the outward beauty of the moment but also the depth of emotion and authenticity within. Moreover, as a black queer photographer myself, I understand the importance of representation and the impact it can have on individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community. I am committed to creating an affirming space where couples can express themselves freely and authentically. By centering their stories and experiences, I aim to empower others to embrace their identities and love without fear or reservation.
