1. Carroll Creek Linear Park

Carroll Creek Linear Park is a vibrant, scenic spot right in the heart of downtown Frederick. With its beautiful water features, artistic bridges, and colorful landscaping, it's a fantastic location for engagement photos. I would say its the perfect spot for a nice weeknight evening engagement session, definitely neutral outfits and perfect if you want to fully embrace the downtown Frederick area, maybe grab some ice cream from Frederick Fudge & Ice Cream! My family and I just recently stopped by there and their ice cream was a HIT, my son was obsessed!

2. Baker Park

Baker Park is a classic choice with its expansive green spaces, historic bandstand, and serene lake. It offers a variety of backdrops, from lush trees to charming benches and pathways. Early mornings or late afternoons are ideal to avoid crowds and capture beautiful, soft lighting. Don’t miss the stunning views by the lake and the iconic bell tower. I love stopping by there and being able to capture so many different types of backdrops. I would probably only opt for this location during weekday evenings though as it is really busy on the weekends!

Now technically, this is also apart of Monocacy, but it’s off the beaten path. 9. Surreybrooke Gardens

Now this one is technically in Middletown but it is SO close to Frederick its right down the road and TOTALLY worth it! The beautiful garden offers so much photo wise. For this location you do need to notify them and schedule at least FIVE days before your session, there is a permit fee of $35 during normal business hours for a 2 hour session, if you’d like a session after hours the fee is $60, and that’s honestly a steal considering what most places are charging for photography session permits these days.
